2.3 What are Team Tags for

Team Tags help GoBuid identify which team is responsible for each step in a form submission workflow. They can affect which form templates, submissions, or workflow steps a project member can access.

If you cannot see a form template or submission that another member can see, your Team Tags may be different.

What Team Tags do

Team Tags connect project members to the teams they belong to in a project workflow.

They are especially useful when a form submission process involves different teams. For example, one team may be responsible for creating a submission, while another team reviews or approves it.

How Team Tags affect form access

Team Tags may affect which form templates and submissions you can access.

To access the form templates and submissions you need, make sure the correct Team Tags are assigned to you in each project you are involved in.

Team Tags are project-specific, so your access may be different from one project to another.

When to check Team Tags

Check your Team Tags if:

  • You cannot see a form template
  • You cannot see a submission
  • Your coworker can access a form or submission that you cannot
  • You are assigned to the project but still cannot access the expected workflow
  • Your role looks correct, but your form access is still limited

Your Admin Role or Project Role may control general access, while Team Tags help control access within specific form submission workflows.

Who can update Team Tags

If your Team Tags need to be changed, ask an Owner, Co-owner, Admin, or project manager to review your project access.

They should check:

  • Whether you are added to the correct project
  • Whether your Project Role is correct
  • Whether the correct Team Tags are assigned to you
  • Whether the form workflow requires a specific team assignment
