Manpower in GoBuid helps teams manage worker attendance, timesheets, and time-off records across projects. It supports both manager-created records and worker self-service actions in the mobile app, so teams can track who worked, when they worked, and which project they were assigned to.
Who usually uses Manpower?
Manpower is usually handled by managers, HR, or site supervisors, depending on how your company manages attendance and timesheets.
Workers may also use the mobile app to:
- clock in and out
- select the project they are working on
- request records or time off
What can managers do?
Managers can:
- invite workers into the Group
- add workers to projects
- create timesheet records for workers
- add clock-in/out or leave records manually
- review and approve worker requests
- turn on geofence restrictions for clock-in/out
What can workers do?
Workers can use the GoBuid mobile app to:
- clock in and out
- choose the project they are working on
- request a missing record
- request time off
Once submitted, these requests can be reviewed by a manager.
How clock-in/out works
When a worker clocks in or out in the mobile app, they select a project first. GoBuid then calculates the working time based on the recorded timestamps.
If geofence is enabled, workers can only clock in or out when they are within the allowed radius of the project location.
Where records appear
Manpower records appear in:
- Project → Manpower, where teams can review records in the context of a project
- Clock and Timesheet, where managers can review attendance and timesheet data more broadly
This helps teams see both project-level and worker-level records in the right context.
Turn on geofence restrictions
Managers can turn on geofence radius in Group Settings to restrict workers so they can only clock in or out within a defined distance from the project location.
This is useful when you want to make sure attendance is recorded on site.
Typical workflow
A common Manpower workflow looks like this:
- A manager invites a worker into the Group
- The worker is added to a project
- The manager creates or reviews the first timesheet record
- Workers use the mobile app to clock in/out
- Workers request missing records or time off if needed
- Managers review and approve the requests
