How Does Swap Seats Work?

The Swap Seats feature lets you exchange seat types between two members — without needing extra available seats.

✅ When to Use It

If you want to:

  • Give someone a Full Seat, but no available Full Seats
  • Downgrade another user at the same time
  • Avoid removing and re-inviting members manually

🔄 Swap Seats Flow (Web App)

  1. Go to the Members page
  2. Click Swap Seats
  3. A dialog opens showing two groups by seat type
  4. Drag and drop members between Full Seats and Light Seats
  5. Click Swap Seat to proceed
  6. A confirmation dialog will appear and check seat availability
  7. If you exceed seat limits, adjust members and try again

🔄 Swap Seats Flow (Mobile App)

  1. Go to the Members page

  2. Long-press to select two members

    • One must have a Full Seat, the other a Light Seat

  3. Tap Swap Seats
  4. Confirm the change in the dialog

📌 You must select exactly two members with different seat types

🔐 Who Can Use This?

Anyone who has access to the Members feature can use Swap Seats.

If you can view and manage members in your company or group, you’ll be able to swap seats between them.

🧠 What Happens After Swapping?

  • Their seat types are exchanged immediately
  • Their roles (e.g., Owner, Member) stay unchanged
  • No need to delete or re-invite anyone
