1.2 Log Progress Updates

A Progress Update records work completed for a Progress Activity on a specific date.


Use updates to track daily completed quantity, upload site attachments, and tag manpower or equipment used for the work. Each update becomes part of the activity record and can be reviewed later from the activity detail page.

Log a progress update

To log a progress update:


  1. Open a project.
  2. Go to Project -> Progress.
  3. Select the activity you want to update.
  4. Select Update.
  5. In Update Activity, enter the update details.
  6. Select Save.




Add quantity for the day

In Qty of the day, enter the quantity completed for the selected date.


GoBuid uses the activity’s unit to calculate progress against the total quantity. For example, if the activity is measured in m2 , the quantity entered for the day will be added to the activity’s completed progress.


Make sure the date is correct before saving the update.




Add attachments

Use Attachment to upload supporting files for the update.


You can click or drop files into the upload area. Attachments are useful for site photos, evidence of completed work, inspection files, or other records related to the update.


Uploaded attachments can be reviewed later from the activity’s Attachment records.




Tag manpower and equipment

You can tag manpower and equipment when logging an update.


Use:


  • Tag Manpower to record the workers or manpower related to the completed work.
  • Tag Equipment to record equipment used for the activity.

Tagging helps calculate productivity, such as quantity completed per manpower or equipment used.


Only checked-in manpower or  equipment for the date can be tagged.




What happens after saving

After you select Save/Update, the update is added to the activity record.


The activity detail page may show:


  • updated completed quantity
  • remaining quantity
  • days left
  • chart data
  • average quantity
  • manpower productivity
  • equipment productivity
  • attachments
  • update history

You can continue adding updates as work progresses.




Typical workflow

A common update workflow looks like this:


  1. Open Project -> Progress.
  2. Select a Progress Activity.
  3. Select Update.
  4. Confirm the date.
  5. Enter Qty of the day.
  6. Upload attachments if needed.
  7. Tag manpower or equipment if needed.
  8. Select Save.
  9. Review the activity chart, records, and history.
