How users are counted
GoBuid billing is based on account members and seat types.
A GoBuid user who is added as a member to an account, either as a normal member or as a manager of projects, is counted as a billable team member for paid plans.
Full seats and Light Seats
Paid users may be counted under different seat types.
- Full seats: Users on paid plans such as Pro or Pro Plus.
- Light Seat: A paid user seat for limited on-site access.
Light Seat is billed separately and can only be purchased through Sales.
For the current seat type details, see the Seat Type article.
Shared seats and external access
Shared seats and external access follow separate rules.
For subcontractors, external collaborators, and shared seat behavior, see the Shared Seat article.
Replace a billed user
You can remove a billed user and replace them with another user without an additional charge, as long as you do not exceed the number of seats you purchased.
To replace a billed user:
- Open Admin console.
- Go to the account member area.
- Remove the existing user from your account.
- Invite the new user to the account.
As long as the number of account members does not exceed your purchased seats, your credit card will not be billed for an additional seat before the next billing cycle.
Check purchased seats and receipts
To check your purchased seats and receipts:
- Open Admin console.
- Select Plans & Receipts.
- Review the seats purchased in the current billing cycle.
- Compare that number with your account members.
This helps you confirm whether inviting a new user will add another paid seat.
