2. Why can’t I access a feature

In this article

Your plan may not include the feature

Some GoBuid features are only available on paid plans.

If your account is on Free Forever, paid-feature pages are not available. Your data is kept, but you need to upgrade to access paid features again.

Your free trial may have ended

During the 30-day free trial, all features are unlocked.

When the free trial ends, your account automatically moves to Free Forever unless you choose a paid plan. After that, paid-feature pages are no longer available.

Your role may not allow access

GoBuid uses Admin Roles and Project Roles to control access.

Your access may depend on:

  • Your Admin Role in the company account.
  • Your Project Role in a specific project.
  • Whether you are added to the project.
  • Whether you have the required team tags for a form or workflow.

If your coworker can see a feature that you cannot, your roles or project access may be different.

Your seat type may limit access

GoBuid has Full Seats and Light Seats.

Seat type controls which features a member can see or access. Even if someone has a project role with more responsibility, a Light Seat still has limited feature access.

For example, Light Seat does not include access to some management, budget, report, document, and settings features.

The feature may only be available on web or mobile

Some GoBuid features are available only on web, while some field actions are available only on mobile.

Examples:

  • Report and form template setup are web app features.
  • Clock in/out and equipment QR code scanning are mobile app features.

If you cannot find a feature, check whether you are using the correct platform.

Who can help

Ask an Owner, Co-owner, Admin, or project manager to check:

  • Your current plan.
  • Whether your trial has ended.
  • Your Admin Role.
  • Your Project Role.
  • Your seat type.
  • Your project access and team tags.
