Check which invite method was used

GoBuid supports different invite methods.

The steps to fix an invitation issue depend on whether you were invited with a link or invited by email.


An invite link does not expire, has no usage limit, and is not limited to one email address.

If the link does not work, ask the inviter to check whether:

  • The link was deleted.
  • The link was regenerated. Old links stop working after a new link is generated.
  • There are available seats for the seat type linked to the invitation.

Admins can manage invite links anytime by copying, deleting, or regenerating them.


Invite with email

Email invitations are tied to the email address used by the inviter.

If you were invited by email, sign up or sign in with the same email address that received the invitation.

If the wrong email address was invited, you may not be added to the target group. Ask the inviter to send a new invitation to the correct email address.


Check seat availability

If there are no available seats, new members cannot join with the invite link.

Ask an Owner, Co-owner, or Admin to check seat availability. If needed, they can adjust seats in the Admin Console or contact Sales for Light Seat purchases.


After joining the company account

Joining the company account does not always mean you can access every project.

After joining, you may still need to be added to a project and assigned a Project Role before you can start collaborating.


Who can help

Ask the person who invited you, an Owner, Co-owner, or Admin to check:

  • Whether the invite link is still active.
  • Whether the invite link was regenerated.
  • Whether there are available seats.
  • Whether the email invitation was sent to the correct email.
  • Whether you were added to the correct project or group.
