What report templates do

Report templates help you reuse the same report structure.


A template can store selected projects, report fields, field settings, and layout choices. This is useful when you regularly create weekly, monthly, payroll, equipment, budget, or schedule reports.




Template types

GoBuid supports these template types:


  • GoBuid official templates: Ready-made templates provided by GoBuid.
  • Company templates: Templates shared within your company.
  • My templates: Private templates saved for your own use.
  • Blank report: A report built from scratch instead of a template.



Use a template

  1. Go to Report > Saved Reports.
  2. Select Add.
  3. Choose a template from:
    • GoBuid official templates
    • Company templates
    • My templates
  4. Review the report name.
  5. Review the selected projects.
  6. Adjust fields, date ranges, or settings if needed.
  7. Preview, export, or save the report.

If a template includes projects you cannot access, those projects are not included.





Create a template

You can create a template directly from Report > Templates.


A template can be created from:


  • A blank template
  • An existing template

When creating a template, set the template name, selected projects, report fields, and field settings.





Save a report as a template

After creating a report, you can save it as:


  • My Templates
  • Company Templates

Use My Templates for personal repeat reports. Use Company Templates when the same structure should be available to other users in your company.


Company template access depends on permissions.





Edit or duplicate templates

You can edit templates you are allowed to manage.


  • You can edit your own My Templates.
  • Company templates can be edited by users with the required permissions.
  • My Templates and Company Templates can be duplicated.
  • If you duplicate a template that includes projects you cannot access, those projects are removed from your copy.
