3. Auto-generate Reports

Auto-generated reports let GoBuid create reports on a schedule based on a template.

Use this when you need repeat reports, such as weekly site reports, monthly progress reports, payroll reports, equipment reports, budget reports, or schedule reports.

Before you start

Auto-generated reports are based on  My Templates.

You can turn on auto-generation in two places:


  • When you save a report as a template
  • From a template’s settings

Auto-generated reports are saved in Saved Reports.


You need access to the selected projects and the data included in the report template.




Set up auto-generation when saving a report as a template

  1. Open the report you want to reuse.
  2. Select Export.
  3. Select Save as template.
  4. Enter the template name.
  5. In Save in, choose My template.
  6. Turn on Auto-generate report.
  7. Set the Frequency, such as every 2 weeks.
  8. Select Save As Template.

GoBuid generates the report based on the saved template settings.


Set up auto-generation from template settings

  1. Go to Report.
  2. Open Templates.
  3. Select the template you want to update.
  4. Open the template details.
  5. Select Edit.
  6. Open Template settings.
  7. Turn on Auto-generate report.
  8. Set the Start date.
  9. Set the Frequency, such as every 2 weeks.
  10. Select Save.

GoBuid uses the template settings to generate the report on the selected schedule.





Receive auto-generated reports

When a report is generated, GoBuid sends an email with a download link.


The download link is valid for 7 days.


If your access to a selected project changes, GoBuid excludes projects you can no longer access. If no matching records are available, the report may contain empty sections.




Where auto-generated reports are stored

Auto-generated reports are stored in Saved.


GoBuid keeps the latest 30 auto-generated reports.




Limits

Each user can enable auto-generated reports for up to 5 templates.
