3. Set up manpower and equipment budgets

Use manpower and equipment budgets to track project working hours and equipment usage time. After budgets are set, GoBuid compares actual usage against the budget and shows the status in the Budget overview.

Manpower and equipment budgets track time usage, not dollar amount.

  • Manpower budget tracks working hours.

These budgets help managers compare planned usage against actual project activity.

Set or edit a budget

  1. Open Projects.
  2. Select a project.
  3. Open the Budget tab.
  4. Find the manpower or equipment budget section.
  5. Enter or update the budgeted working hours or usage time.
  6. Save the change.

How usage is tracked

GoBuid updates manpower and equipment usage from project activity.

  • Manpower usage is tracked from members' clock-in/out records.
  • Equipment usage is tracked from equipment check-in/out records.
  • Usage appears in the Budget overview so the team can monitor whether the project is staying within the planned time.

Who can set budgets

Managers and Internal users with Budget permission can set and edit manpower and equipment budgets.

External users cannot access the Budget tab.
