What the Budget overview shows
The Budget overview helps the team monitor project usage at a glance.
Use it to review:
- Manpower working-hour usage
- Equipment usage time
- Budget Code status
- Pending Budget Requests
- Completed request history
- Visual charts and progress indicators
Track manpower and equipment usage
Manpower and equipment budgets are tracked by time.
- Manpower usage comes from members' clock-in/out records.
- Equipment usage comes from equipment check-in/out records.
- GoBuid compares actual usage against the budgeted working hours or usage time.
Use this view to see whether project labor and equipment usage are within the planned limits.
Track Budget Code usage
Budget Codes track material quantities.
Open a Budget Code to review its details, report, requests, and history. The report can show approved quantities over time and the current usage percentage against the total quantity.
Understand budget status colors
Budget status colors show how much of the budget has been used:
- Green: 0-80%
- Yellow: 81-100%
- Red: over 100%
When a Budget Code reaches Yellow or Red status, GoBuid sends a notification to the Manager.
Use reports and history
Use the Report tab to review visual usage trends for a Budget Code.
Use the History tab to check request activity, quantity changes, edits, approvals, declines, and other Budget Code updates.
Together, reports and history help managers understand both the current budget status and the activity that caused it.
